A waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 216) is bright and full . The work was performed for the first time on January 25, 1859 in the Sofienbad Hall in Vienna.

Remarks

The waltz Hell und voll was composed for Mardi Gras in 1859 and premiered on the occasion of the medical students' ball at Vienna University (medical ball ) . The work was also dedicated to these students. The title name is taken from medical language and means a technical term for percussion . The work was well received. However, the big breakthrough did not materialize. This was also due to the large number of Strauss' compositions in those years, which displaced each other from the concert plans.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
