Helmut Doppler

Helmut Doppler (born March 25, 1945 in Puchberg am Schneeberg ) is an Austrian technical employee and politician ( ÖVP ). Doppler was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 2001 to 2010 .

Life

Doppler was born as the first child of a rural family and, after elementary school, attended a federal secondary school , where he passed the Matura . He then completed an IT training and worked at the Federal Computing Office. Doppler was promoted to head of IT work preparation. Doppler is married and has one son.

From 1972 to 1975 Doppler was a member of the Pottendorf municipal council and was then executive councilor from 1975 to 1985. As a result, he took over the office of mayor, which he held from October 25, 1985 to March 29, 2005. After the losses of the ÖVP in the municipal council elections in 2005, Doppler lost his office as mayor. Doppler is the parish party chairman, sub-district chairman of the ÖAAB Lower Austria and district chairman of the ÖVP. Since October 4, 2001, Doppler has also represented the ÖVP in the state parliament. In 2008, as second in the ÖVP district list of Baden, due to a small number of preferential votes, he barely made it back into the state parliament. He resigned from the state parliament on October 6, 2010.
