The four missile speedboats of the Helsinki- class ( Finnish : Helsinki -luokan ohjusvene) are units of the Finnish Navy . The class was named after the first boat in service that bears the name of the Finnish capital.

The Helsinki class was developed from the Tuima class , which was the Finnish class name for their Soviet Osa II class boats . The successor class is the Rauma class .

Two of the boats were decommissioned in 2002. One boat was still in service in 2005 and the last one until 2007. These last two boats were handed over to the Croatian Navy , where they have been in service again since 2008.
