The Hemburg is an Outbound hilltop castle on the Hemberg in Brilon .

The castle, now completely in ruins, stood on the Hemberg near the Itterbach near Bontkirchen . The castle was mentioned in a document in 1309, it belonged to the Archbishops of Cologne . It served to protect the country. In the fief register of Archbishop Friedrich III. from 1370 it was no longer mentioned among the archbishop's castles.
