The Henschel DHG 200 B is a diesel-hydraulic locomotive that was built by the Henschel works . It was intended for use in the shunting service. The axle sequence of the Henschel DHG 200 B is B. The design origin of this machine does not come from Kassel, but from Esslingen. In 1961, Henschel took over the diesel locomotive range from the Esslingen machine factory . From there, the structural features, such as the cardan shaft drive, were adopted and the locomotives were built in Kassel.

Only five copies of the Henschel DHG 200 B were built between 1964 and 1966. One of these went to the Luxembourg State Railways (CFL). Four locomotives went to German industrial companies. All locomotives are still in use today (2012).
