Heparinoids

Under heparinoids are drugs together that are similar to heparin act, but have a different molecular structure. They are anticoagulants , i.e. anti-coagulants , from the group of glycosaminoglycans . They can be used as a substitute if there is an allergy or intolerance to heparin or in the case of kidney failure and thrombocytopenia . Otherwise they are no longer used because of the narrower therapeutic range . Heparinoids are classified in the anatomical-therapeutic-chemical classification system under B01AB Antithrombotic agents, heparin group and C05BA Heparins or heparinoids for topical use .
