The Hercules MF3 is a moped from the two-wheel manufacturer Hercules . It was produced between 1972 and 1975 and is typical of the design of the 70s.

The well-known Sachs 50/2 motor from the motor manufacturer Sachs was installed in the Hercules MF3 series .

technology

The moped is driven by the Sachs 50/2 motor of the MLC version, which was very popular at the time of manufacture, and is cooled by a fan coupled to the motor. The manual gearshift on the left-hand side of the handlebars is used for shifting, the clutch is also located here. The moped is decelerated by drum brakes, the front brake is released on the right side of the dashboard, the rear brake is operated by stepping back.

A Bosch magneto generator supplies the front and rear lights with 6 volts.

The tank capacity is comparatively small at 3.7 liters (of which 0.7 is a reserve tank), but the low fuel consumption increases the driving range. For the two-stroke engine, regular petrol and engine oil must be filled in at a ratio of 1:25.
