National Lottery

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Lottery is the largest lottery agency in the UK and is operated by the Camelot Group . The license to host the lottery is granted for a period of six years. The lottery is controlled by the National Lottery Commission . In 2002 , National Lottery rebranded the brand, after which the game was simply called Lotto . The National Lottery corresponds to the drawing 6 out of 49 in Germany.

As in Germany, the profits are distributed tax-free. 53% of the income is distributed as profits, 25% goes to a “good cause” that is determined by parliament (also called an invisible tax) and 12% is paid directly to the government. Lottery sellers receive 5% commission, Camelot receives 4.5% for expenses and 0.5% for profit. A participant in the lottery must be at least 16 years old.

The lottery numbers are drawn on Saturdays and Wednesdays. In addition to the 6 out of 59 numbers (since October 2015), a “bonus ball” is also determined. The stake per tip is £ 2 (since October 2013). As described above, 53% of the stakes are paid out as winnings.
