The Hermann Otto GmbH , known under the brand Otto-Chemie , a Bavarian company in the field of construction chemicals . Otto-Chemie supplies the construction industry with sealants and adhesives .
The company was founded by Hermann Otto in Berlin in 1881 and originally only produced window putty. From the 1960s on, silicone sealants were developed and marketed. Adhesives based on silicone, polyurethane, silane-terminated polymers (hybrid) and acrylates were also developed. In the 2018 financial year, 68% of sales were generated in Germany.
