The Alster Manor is located in the Swedish municipality of Karlstad on the outskirts of the city of Karlstad .

The estate was first mentioned in documents in 1397. The current building dates back to a new building after an extensive fire in 1760, but was rebuilt in a neoclassical style in 1839 according to plans by the architect Johan Fredrik Åbom .

The Alster Manor is best known as the birthplace of the poet Gustav Fröding . Today it houses a Fröding Museum and in the side buildings smaller art exhibitions and a gallery.
