Today's Sacred Heart Church in Gąbin

The Sacred Heart Church in Gąbin is a Catholic church built from 1957 to 1966.

It was built to replace a neo-Gothic church designed by the architect Józef Pius Dziekoński, which was destroyed by the German occupation forces in 1942. It had a 60 meter high tower and was built from 1913 to 1934. This in turn was the successor to a church built in the 15th century, which was damaged in a fire in 1834 and burned down on Good Friday in 1913.
