The Herzgut Landmolkerei Schwarza eG is a cooperative dairy of farmers from several Thuringian districts with 86 employees. The head office is in Schwarza in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district , where the company also has its own dairy sales point.

history

The cooperative was founded in 1904. In 1990 the dairy cooperative Schwarza eG was re-established by the farms in the region around Rudolstadt. In the following years, investments were made in new and modern storage, processing and filling technology. In 1996 the HERZGUT brand was launched with the launch of the HERZGUT butter. The name was finally changed to "HERZGUT Landmolkerei Schwarza eG" in 1999. In the same year, the company began developing the first cheese products.

Brands

The dairy sells its products under the names Herzgut and Heidecksburger (with the Heidecksburg in the logo) primarily in supermarkets in Thuringia, some of them throughout Germany.
