Hiatt (company)

Hiatt & Co was a British handcuffs and shackles company . It was located at 111-115 Baltimore Road, Birmingham . It dates back to 1780. It covered practically the entire UK market.

In 1985, Hiatt Thompson was founded in the United States to continue selling anklets. The company's products have been used in Guantanamo Prison , among others .

The company was sold to the Armor Holdings group in 2008 and then sold to BAE (British Aerospace).

Former employees founded the company TCH, which makes almost identical products that also meet the 0307.01 standard of the US National Institute of Justice (NIJ).

Today's handcuffs from Hiatt have a weight of 390 g, with a maximum dilatation of 23.2 cm, and can be adapted to different wrist sizes.
