Execution site near Allensbach
The place of execution near Allensbach was discovered on April 8, 2020 during road construction work for federal highway 33 near Allensbach , district of Konstanz, by the district archeology department of the district office of Konstanz. The last execution took place here around 1770. Researchers found skeletal remains from at least six individuals. Burned human bones were also exposed. The executed were probably tried on the island of Reichenau .
