The company was founded on August 15, 1937 by Keizo Hirose (広 瀬 銈 三, Hirose Keizō, † 1971) in Tokyo as Hirose Shōkai (広 瀬 商会) and has been active worldwide since the 1960s. The subsidiary Hirose Electric GmbH in Ostfildern was founded in February 1988.
