The Historisch-Kritische Liederlexikon is an internet publication by the German Folk Song Archive with traditional and popular songs from German-speaking countries.

The song lexicon is a long-term research project whose projects come from various funding sources, e.g. B. by the German Research Foundation , is financed. An interdisciplinary team of scientists is gradually developing ("work in progress") the song repertoire for the following research objects:

The 205 song monographs published up to April 2013 (with 1065 song editions) are each divided into three parts:
