Ho Ching ( Chinese  何 晶 , Pinyin Hé Jīng ; * 1953 ) is the managing director of Temasek Holdings . She is married to Lee Hsien Loong , the Prime Minister of Singapore .

In 2004, she was ranked fifth on Fortune Magazine's ranking of the most powerful business women outside the United States . Before that, she was in tenth place. In 2007 she came to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi to third place in the list of the most powerful women in the world of Forbes Magazine .

Life

Ho Ching graduated from high school and studied electrical engineering in Singapore and at Stanford University (Masters). She then ran a state defense company.
