- Utility model .
Production and replacement
The HK series was replaced by the Holden HT series in May 1969 , which produced 199,039 units.
South Africa
In South Africa , the Holden HK Sedan and the Holden HK Wagon were marketed under the name Chevrolet Commando and the HK Utility was sold as the Chevrolet El Camino . They went on sale in May 1969 after two years of development and quickly became General Motors bestsellers in the country, along with closely related Constantia Automobile. The best-selling car in the HK range was the LS automatic sedan.
