The Hole Rock (from English hole , hole, cave, opening ' ) is a cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the largest of those rocks north of the North Foreland , the northeastern cape of King George Island .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it and named it in 1937. It is named after a cave that runs through the rock completely.
