history

The Holzingerhaus was built by Christoph Holzinger from 1595 to 1599.

architecture

The three-storey, three-axis street front is equipped with a high, square-shaped, blended attic in front of the crested hip. The facade has plaster pilasters on the sides and has, among other things, an architraved stone-walled window and a small bricked-up Gothic window. The laterally arranged portal is round-arched and has tendril fields in the garment. The wedge stone bears Holzinger's coat of arms and is named 1599 CHV L. Above it is a relief figure of a knight with a goblet, on the sides and on the thighs of the arch a griffin and a lion can be seen. The skylight grille was made in the middle of the 18th century. Wall paintings from the 16th century show St. Florian with a motto, to the right of it shows a fragment of a Lucretia with a likewise fragmented minuscule inscription.

The entrance has a barrel vault, followed by groin vaults. The wing of the building facing the courtyard has two-story arcades on Tuscan columns with flat groin vaults covered with plaster ridge.

The interior and the hall above the driveway partly have groin vaults and stucco decoration with belts and ribbons from the end of the 16th century. On the upper floor of the staircase are mirror vaults with stitch caps and stucco ribbons from the beginning of the 17th century, with cyma, egg stick, rosettes and medallions with lion heads. In the building there is a Renaissance portal from around 1600 with a triangular gable and portals with a crossed frame from the 16th century. The 2nd floor has flat ceilings with vegetable stucco around 1700 or stucco coffering around 1740.

In the rear building there is a beveled round arch portal with an iron plate door and windows with grooved window sills from the end of the 16th century.
