Sălaj wooden churches

The wooden churches of Sălaj belong to the group of Transylvanian and Romanian wooden churches . In Sălaj County , there are 68 wooden churches on the list of historic monuments. The oldest date from the 16th century and the newest from the 19th century. Most were built in the 18th century.
