Hong Kong Trade Development Council
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), founded in 1966, is a quasi-governmental non-profit organization for the promotion of international economic relations of Hong Kong .
Activities of the HKTDC
With a worldwide network of more than 40 branches in around 30 countries, 11 of them on the Chinese mainland, the HKTDC offers a platform for business contacts with China and the rest of Asia. To this end, it organizes trade fairs and exhibitions as well as business missions. It has now developed into the largest trade fair organizer in Asia.
- Every year the HKTDC organizes 480 information events at which interested companies can find out about the economic opportunities and locational advantages of Hong Kong.
- More than 80 joint stands are organized for companies from Hong Kong at international trade fairs.
- The HKTDC is involved in the implementation of around 30 international trade fairs and specialist exhibitions in Hong Kong.
- The HKTDC operates a computerized information system on the Hong Kong economy.
- Product magazines are published and market studies are carried out.
- The HKTDC receives and supports foreign business delegations in Hong Kong.
The agency in Germany is located in Frankfurt am Main . Together with Messe Frankfurt , the HKTDC organizes the Eco Expo Asia every year.
