Hongzehu dike

The Hongzehu dike ( Chinese  洪泽湖 大堤 , Pinyin Hóngzéhú dàdī ), also called Gaojiayan 高 家堰, is located in Huai'an in the Chinese province of Jiangsu . It dates from the time of the Eastern Han Dynasty .

The old dam, known as the "Great Wall on the Water," along the eastern shore of Lake Hongze directed its water northwards. It winds about 50 km and was built in 200.

It has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-506) since 2006 .
