The new staircase led to the exit or to the conservatory that no longer exists today. After the First World War, the hotel belonged to the St. Adalbert printing and bookshop, which set up its headquarters here. During the Second World War the hotel was renamed Hotel Ostland . It suffered serious damage from an air strike. After the war it was rebuilt in a simple form and renamed, now it was called Hotel Poznański (Poznan Hotel). Only after the fall of the Wall in 1991 was it renamed the Hotel Rzymski (Roman Hotel) again. In 2000 the Restaurant de Rome was opened here.
