The Hotel Tradita "Geg & Tosk" is a small private hotel with a restaurant in Shkodra (Rruga Edith Durham ), which is now run in a historical building in the style of a local museum .

The main building was built in 1694 in Ottoman style as the residence of an aristocratic merchant family. The central area is a hall open over two floors with several adjoining rooms that were used at the time for the production and sale of commercial goods. The merchant family once lived in the smaller rooms on the upper floor.

It was not until 2004 that the historic building was restored by the current owner, Gjon Gila , and has since been used as a well-known traditional restaurant in Shkodra. Today there is an open grill in the large hall, where traditional local dishes are prepared. All rooms are furnished with antique furniture and decorated with historical costumes, household items, musical instruments and weapons that the owner has collected in the region. In an adjoining room, other collectibles are still stored unsorted, which can be shown to guests on request. The restaurant offers " experience gastronomy the Albanian way". Today the restaurant stands in the midst of modern skyscrapers on a busy main street.

The path leads through an inner courtyard with a garden restaurant to the two-storey hotel wing, which was added in 2009. The hotel can be assigned to the national 3-star category . Here, too, all 15 rooms (double and multi-bed rooms) are decorated with museum pieces. The dark wood in front of the white walls and the deep red fabric covers of the beds, the traditional material and style elements of the region, characterize the hallways and rooms. The wet room with shower / toilet protrudes into the room in the style of a small house and is covered in a historical style with red roof shingles.
