House in the clouds

The House in the Clouds (English: "House in the Clouds") is a former water tower at Thorpeness in the county of Suffolk in Great Britain . Since the area is a popular holiday region, they didn't want to put an ordinary water tower in the landscape. The top of the structure erected in 1923 was therefore converted into a single-family house. The fear that no tenants would be found because of the constant flow noises turned out to be wrong. In 1977 the water tower was shut down and the tanks converted into additional living space. Today the house in the clouds is rented out as a holiday home .
