Huiyuan

Huiyuan means:

  • the monk Huiyuan (Buddhist) (Chinese 慧远 / 慧遠; 334–416) from the time of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, 1st Patriarch of the Chinese School of the Pure Land (Chinese Jingtu zong 淨土 宗 jìngtǔzōng)
  • the Buddhist monk Huiyuan (Chinese 慧远 / 慧遠; 523–592), from the (Southern) Dilun School (Dashabhumika School) from the Jingying Monastery (Chinese Jingying si 淨 影 寺), see Huiyuan (Jingying- Monastery)
