Humboldt Mountains (Asia)
The Humboldt Mountains are mountains in Central Asia that are covered with everlasting snow . It is located on the northern border of Tibet and forms the northwestern end of the Nan-shan Mountains . The largest mountains in the mountains reach heights of up to 6,000 meters.
The mountains were named by the Russian explorer Nikolai Prschewalski after the well-known German naturalist Alexander von Humboldt .
