Huza Press is a publishing company based in Kigali . The publishing house was founded in 2015 by Rwandan Louise Umutoni (also Louise Umutoni-Bower).

Publishing program

Huza Press publishes contemporary literature by African authors.

Huza Press Prize for Fiction

In addition to the publication of literary works, another part of the work of Huza Press is on the organization of literary events and support for creative writing . Among other things, Huza Press initiated the first Rwandan literary prize (Huza Press Prize for Fiction), which was awarded in 2017. In addition, an anthology of the best submissions was published in 2016 .
