Hybrid television

Under hybrid TV or hybrid TV refers to television sets and set-top boxes that have a built-in Web interface feature and thus may represent television and Internet content. This technology is tied to modern HD devices in order to ensure good readability of the online content.

Mostly, the viewer is given access to online content on the television via the device manufacturer's own portals.

In the medium term, the various proprietary solutions from individual manufacturers can be replaced by the HbbTV standard , which enables the integration of television and Internet content.
