Hydrogeography

Hydrogeography or hydrogeography describes the theory of the distribution of water on and under the earth.

It is part of physical geography . Hydrogeography is based on hydrology and studies the entirety of all flowing and standing surface and subterranean waters on the mainland. The focus of the teaching is on the interrelationships between the landscape factors and the water balance of a space. A subgroup of hydrogeography is glaciology , which deals with questions about glaciers . But oceans are also the subject of research in this branch of knowledge, but which overlaps with oceanography .
