Hydrocyclone process

In the hydrocyclone process ( separation process in plastics recycling ), plastic parts are placed in a water vortex inside a centrifugal separator . The heavy plastic parts are carried outwards and sink down.

The light plastic parts (mostly thermoplastics such as polyethylene ) are driven into the middle and sucked off there.
