Hymenopterology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hymenopterologie is a branch of entomology (Entomology), which deals with the Hymenoptera tackles (Hymenoptera). Hymenopterology endeavors to expand knowledge about this group of animals through collecting, observation and experiments. In addition to the identification, initial description and systematic classification of these animals, their morphological , anatomical and physiological properties are also examined. These play an essential role as the basis for other sciences, for example for medicine, where the hymenoptera are particularly important as carriers of diseases and parasites .

The people involved in this science are called hymenopterists.
