IDEF

IDEF originally stood for I CAM Def inition and is a group of modeling languages , the early 1980s were published. Meanwhile IDEF is commonly called I ntegrated Def inition advertised. The IDEF languages ​​were developed in the US Air Force's ICAM project . Since these languages ​​are on the one hand the American authority standard and on the other hand open (i.e. freely usable and neutral and thus independent of the manufacturer), they were supported by CASE tools within a short time .
