The IDEX Corporation , headquartered in Lake Forest (Illinois) is a publicly traded company founded in 1988 that deals with the development, design and manufacture of fluidic concerned and technical specialty products. IDEX Corporation's products, which include pumps, workholding systems, flow meters, optical filters, powder processing equipment, hydraulic rescue equipment, and fire extinguishers, are used in a variety of industries, from agriculture to semiconductor manufacturing. It was founded when Kohlberg Kravis Roberts bought several businesses from Houdaille Industries that had recently been sold by KKR to Tube Instruments. TI kept the John Crane seals business.

The name of the company is an acronym for "Innovation, Diversity, and Excellence", in German "Innovation, Diversity, and Excellence".
