International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation
The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation ( ILCOR ) is a group of various institutions and professional associations founded in 1992 that deal scientifically with cardiopulmonary resuscitation .
It sees its task in sifting through the current state of international resuscitation science and new findings, reviewing them critically and proposing a consensus on treatment recommendations based on them; the organizations involved base their resuscitation guidelines on this consensus. ILCOR published this consensus for the first time in 2000; the current ILCOR consensus and the ERC guidelines from 2015 are current.
At the moment, the American Heart Association (AHA) , the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) , the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) , the Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ARC) , the Resuscitation Councils of Southern Africa ( RCSA) , Resuscitation Council of Asia (RCA) and the Inter American Heart Foundation (IAHF) .
