INOX wagon
As INOX cars are more cars -series of the French state railway SNCF called. The name is derived from the French acier inoxydable " stainless steel ", the material that was used for the car bodies , which were joined from sheet metal using the spot welding process developed by Budd . In France only the company Carel & Fouché had the rights to use this method for the construction of railway vehicles.
The following series were built for the SNCF:
- the INOX-DEV wagons , which were procured from 1950 to 1970
- the INOX-TEE wagons , which were procured from 1964
