IQhiya

iQhiya (founded in 2015 ) is a South African artist collective , which was founded by eleven black artists.

Former students and founding members of iQhiya are: Asemahle Ntonti, Bronwyn Katz, Buhlebezwe Siwani, Bonolo Kavula, Charity Kelapile, Lungiswa Gqunta, Matlhogonolo Kelapile, Sethembile Msezane, Sisipho Ngodwana, Thandiwe Msebenzi and Gameday.

iQhiya , a network of young black women artists, is based in Cape Town and Johannesburg . The artists work with a wide range of artistic disciplines, including performance, video, photography, sculpture and other media. Among other things, iQhiya participated in the Joburg Art Fair in Johannisburg in 2016 and in documenta 14 in Kassel in 2017 .
