ISDN Resource Record

The ISDN Resource Record is an experimental extension of the Domain Name System and is defined by RFC 1183 from 1990. The aim of this expansion is to integrate the telephone network into the information infrastructure of the Internet .

This resource record (RR) is used to assign an ISDN telephone number to a DNS name .

construction

  • <owner> Domain name to which this RR belongs.
  • <ttl> Time to Live indicates in seconds how long this RR is valid.
  • <class> "IN" stands for Internet.
  • <ISDN> "ISDN" string is an integral part.
  • <ISDN address> ISDN phone number with the country code without leading zeros.
  • <sa> optional subaddress .
