ISO / IEC 25000
The international standard ISO / IEC 25000 Systems and software engineering - Systems and software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) - Guide to SQuaRE has replaced the ISO / IEC 9126 standard since 2005 and was established by the ISO / IEC JTC 1 / SC 07 standardization body Software and systems engineering created.
The German version DIN ISO / IEC 25000 Software Engineering - Quality Criteria and Evaluation of Software Products (SQuaRE) - Guidelines for SQuaRE has been prepared by NA 043 Standards Committee for Information Technology and Applications (NIA) of the German Institute for Standardization since 2010 .
As a guide for quality criteria and the evaluation of software products, ISO / IEC 25000 introduces the 250xx series of standards and defines the SQuaRE model. The relationships between the parts of the series and other ISO standards are shown below. The reference to the older standards ISO / IEC 9126 and ISO / IEC 14598 is also established.
