The ias Foundation forms the umbrella of the ias group . The companies include ias Aktiengesellschaft, ias health & safety GmbH, ias PREVENT GmbH, ias Unternehmensberatung GmbH, AMVZ Arbeitsmedizinisches Vorsorgezentrum GmbH, Ge.on Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement GmbH and Ge.on Case Management GmbH. The ias group is a group of companies specializing in occupational safety, health protection and corporate health management. The abbreviation “ias” stands for “Institute for Occupational and Social Hygiene Foundation”.
The ias Foundation started its work in 1976. In 1977 the foundation was established and approved by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs. As part of the foundation's mandate, the ias group carries out research work and studies on the subjects of the world of work, health and performance.
Foundation mandate
The goals of the ias Foundation include the promotion, maintenance and restoration of human health at work, in the environment and in the private sector, as well as occupational safety, work design and environmental protection.
The foundation promotes interdisciplinary and international collaboration between doctors, engineers, psychologists and other experts in health protection, occupational safety and environmental protection. The foundation conducts basic, advanced and advanced training in its areas of activity, carries out its own research work and assessments, and awards research contracts to other institutions. The work results of the foundation are made available to the public through publications and lectures.
The foundation's mandate to research and implement new ways and innovative processes for the sustainable improvement of working conditions in companies is also the guiding principle of all companies in the ias group.

Researches
- 2017, research project "PräDiTec": The stock corporation supports the research project "PräDiTec" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research on the subject of digitization. “PräDiTec” stands for “Prevention for safe and healthy work with digital technologies”. - 2018, ias Aktiengesellschaft sponsors a junior professorship for work and organizational psychology at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. In addition, the ias AG provides funds for research. One focus of his work is research into the relationship between health, work, age and digitization.
engagement
From 2015 to 2018, the ias group, as co-initiator, organized the “Corporate Health Award” (award for corporate health management in Germany) together with EuPD Research Sustainable Management and Handelsblatt.
Fields of activity
Activities in the fields of occupational medicine, environmental medicine, preventive medicine and safety technology, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, workplace and environmental measurements, traffic medicine and traffic psychology, industrial and organizational psychology and all other activities that restore, maintain and promote human health and safety.
The ias Foundation is a member of the Federal Association of German Foundations.
Award
- 2016, the ias group received the Top 100 award as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany for the further development of its psychosocial counseling into EAP expert counseling and the market launch of its performance management.
