Ibbi-Sipiš

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ibbi-Sipiš (later reading rather Ibbi-Zikkir ) was a senior official in Ebla who was in office for 17 years. In older research he appears in part as a king. It is documented in the large Ebla archive. He was the son of Ebrium , who was also a high minister and followed this in office. Ibbi-Zikki, in turn, gave his son high positions at court and he would certainly have followed his father if Ebla had not been destroyed. It is known that Ibbi-Sipiš traveled widely and visited Kiš , among others . He also signed a contract with Aleppo .
