Iconic Vivisect is an Australian death metal and deathgrind band from Melbourne , which was founded in 2009 under the name Insurrector .
history
The band was founded in 2009 under the name Insurrector by guitarists Adam Donnellan and Chris Switell. The following year the line-up was supplemented by singer Jay Cargill, bassist Justin Steinweiss and drummer Nick Kennedy. The latter was replaced by Dean Hulett that same year. In 2011, the compilation Breeding Atrocity was released via Infinite Regress Records , which consists of the group's early demos , before the debut album Monument of Depravity followed in 2014 via Inherited Suffering Records . A national tour followed later that year.

Blizzard from raben-report.de wrote in his review of Monument of Depravity that the album is suitable for fans of brutal slam death metal and grindcore . The music is fast and aggressive. The songs are particularly characterized by their deep sound.
