Identity witness
As identity witness is called in Austria's right under § 1 Passport Act Implementing a person who can confirm the identity of another person (without official photo ID) notarized or before offices. The witness must have a close relationship with the testifying person - (e.g. relatives, spouse), be self-authorized and have an official photo ID. When presenting an official document (e.g. proof of citizenship, birth certificate ), an identity witness is sufficient.
