Ideologue

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An ideologem (Gr.-Latin, stress ideologe̲m) is a thought structure or an idea. This relates less to a pure imagination than to a (supposedly) concrete object. Ideologemes are the elements from which ideologies are built.

The term was first used by Valentin Voloshinov in 1929 and popularized by Julia Kristeva . Fredric Jameson used the term in 1981 to denote the smallest conceptual units in the discourse of conflicting social classes.

For example, a lot can be associated with the ideologue “ globalization ”: economy , ecology , finance, etc .; the ideologue “ care ” can e.g. B. the relationship between the state and the citizen or between parents and child, etc. This can also include ideas with negative or positive connotations characterizing an ideologue.
