Ieva Plaude-Röhlinger

Ieva Plaude-Röhlinger (born July 2, 1961 in Riga ) is a Latvian entrepreneur. She is the director of Lawrence Asset Management, representative of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bavaria, and the chairman of the Latvian Association of Cosmetics Manufacturers. She gained notoriety through the insolvency of "DK Holding" (previously "Kolonna Holding").

Life

Ieva Plaude-Röhlinger passed her Abitur at the Riga Humanitarian Gymnasium (50th middle school). She studied at the Law Faculty of the University of Latvia and continued her studies at the Moscow State University with a doctorate in financial law.

From 1983 to 1988 she was a lecturer in financial and administrative law at the University of Latvia. At the same time, from 1983 to 1985 she was a senior advisor in the Department for the Development of Draft Laws at the Ministry of Justice in Latvia. In 1985 she became a lawyer at the first independent Latvian film studio "Videocentr", where she worked until 1987.

From 1987 to 1990 she was the director of the state association for foreign trade "Interlatvija", and in 1991 she founded the company "KOLONNA Ltd.", which is well-known in Latvia, which specializes in wholesale and retail of perfumery and cosmetics as well as beauty services. From 2004 to 2007 she worked with the Swedish investment fund East Capital, and in 2007 she founded the joint venture Baltija with the German perfumery network "Douglas Perfumeries". She was the owner and manager of this company until it was sold in 2010.

In 2010 Plaude-Roehlinger became director of the “Lawrence Asset Management” AG, which provides financial advice and foreign investments in Latvia. Shortly afterwards she was appointed representative of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce in Bavaria.

In 2017 she became chairman of the board of the Latvian Association of Cosmetics Manufacturers. She is also the managing director of Langguth Cosmetic GmbH.

She was married to Jānis Lasmanis; her current husband is the Bavarian cosmetics entrepreneur Gerd Röhlinger.

Public activities

In 1988 she organized the first exhibition of Latvian modern art in West Berlin after the Second World War .

From 1991 to 1992 she was an independent opera producer at the Summer Festival in Frankfurt, Germany.

From 1999 to 2008 she was President of the Latvian Association for Pop Gymnastics.

From 2006 to 2010 she was a patron of the International Baltic Ballet Festival.

Awards

In 2009 Plaude-Röhlinger was honored with the “Baltic Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Fund of the USA and the Baltic States. The award is given for notable contributions to promoting entrepreneurship in the Baltic states.
