Toshinari Iijima

Toshinari Iijima ( Japanese 飯 島 俊 成 , Iijima Toshinari ; * 1960 in Tokyo , Japan ) is a contemporary Japanese composer .

He completed his studies at the Kunitachi Ongaku Daigaku ( Kunitachi College of Music ) with Jo Shimaoka , Toshimitsu Tanaka and Michio Mamiya .

As a composer and arranger, he presented works for orchestra, wind orchestra, chamber music and traditional Japanese music. He also created works in collaboration with other artists (pantomime, painter, choreographer, etc.). He is currently a member of the Sou (Blue) composer group and a member of the Kyo-En 21st Century Wind Music Executive Committee

He created some notable works for the wind orchestra.
