Ilka Borst

Ilka Borst (born May 31, 1980 in Hammelburg ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Borst played from the 1997/98 season at the Bundesliga club DJK Aschaffenburg, with whom she was also represented in European cup competitions. In 1999, the 1.75-meter-long construction player with Aschaffenburg became German runner-up and reached the German cup final, which, like the Bundesliga finals, was lost to Wuppertal. In 2000 she moved back to the final series of the German championship with Aschaffenburg, again Borst and her colleagues had to bow to the Wuppertal women. Also in the following season 2000/01 Borst was German runner-up with Aschaffenburg, again they lost to Wuppertal.

Until 2007 she played for the second division club Osnabrücker SC and then in the same league until 2010 at TSV Quakenbrück . Later Borst played for the upper division Osnabrücker TB and for the Osnabrück representation in senior competitions, including the German championship.
