Illa de Formentor is an uninhabited Spanish island in the western Mediterranean , just off the northeast coast of Mallorca . It belongs to the municipality of Pollença .
The island is located about 100 meters off the south coast of the Formentor peninsula in the Badia de Pollença bay . It extends in a north-west-south-east direction and measures approximately 600 meters. The maximum width is about 200 meters; the highest point on the island reaches a height of 38 meters.
