FAMOS

FAMOS is a graphical computer program for evaluation, so for analyzing, evaluating and visualization of measurement results . The program, whose name is an acronym for F ast A nalysis And M onitoring O f S ignals represents, was established in 1987 by the German manufacturer IMC Test & Measurement GmbH (integrated measurement & control) in Berlin for Windows brought 3/11 on the market. According to the manufacturer, FAMOS offers high speed in the display and processing of data sets of any size.

Import of various data formats

FAMOS can import data in various formats, such as: B. Excel , binary , ASCII or Matlab files. A file wizard can also be used to generate your own read-in filters. This data can then be graphed, labeled, combined and processed in various ways. FAMOS can save data in its own proprietary format, in ASCII format or as an Excel file.

Data analysis

Imported data can be manipulated using various mathematical methods, either manually or in an automated manner. FAMOS offers additional modules for special operations such as electronic filters, for spectral analysis and for the synchronized display of data and video sequences and for the ASAM-ODS data model . Data can also be made audible via the PC sound card.

documentation

FAMOS allows the creation of documentation / reports via the so-called "report generator", which consists of various dialog elements and plots, as well as graphics with control elements, which can be automatically hidden when printing. The generated reports can be reused with different input data, there are also templates for semi-automatic and fully automatic generation of reports.
